Maeloc Spanish J70 Championship: schedule and activities
Tras la presentación oficial del MAELOC Spanish J70 Championship in Maria Pita Square, from the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña and Marina Coruña, we now have everything ready for the great event of this weekend.
The participants have already been confirmed and the village we will have will welcome all those who want to enjoy the competition up close. Gastronomic offer, recycling activities, paddle surf, and much more!
“This championship is an excellent way to promote the incredible city of A Coruña and the potential of our waters for nautical sports.” – Chuny Bermúdez de Castro.
And you, are you joining us?
Activities at Marina Coruña
With the base at Marina Coruña’s facilities and the development of the championship, we will have a village that anyone can attend in order to enjoy the competition from the front row, always respecting COVID-19 health measures.
We will have La Tita Rivera O Portiño, which will be in charge of providing its gastronomic offer based on local products, with the additional attraction of having the Pulpeira de Melide as a guest.
In addition, WE Sustainability, the environmental commitment platform based in A Coruña, will organise live plastic recycling demonstrations throughout the weekend (Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00). We will also have other initiatives for cleaning A Coruña port on Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 to 19:00 with paddle surf and the collaboration of Galicia Sup Adventures from Marina Coruña.
On the other hand, Pintega will organise a small free kayak excursion around the surroundings of San Antón Castle, departing from Marina Coruña and heading towards the RCNC. There will be groups of up to 6 people accompanied by qualified instructors, both Friday and Saturday at 18:00.
And if diving is your thing or you would like to try an initiation dive, Buceo Galicia will also be with us!
