The Maeloc Spanish J70 Championship comes loaded with stars

The MAELOC Spanish J70 Championship will take place for the first time in A Coruña Bay, at our facilities at Marina Coruña, on 14, 15 and 16 May.

The fleet in this edition is one of the most successful and influential internationally. We will have the best Spanish J70s and one or two surprises, competing at the foot of the Tower of Hercules.

The J70 Bosch Service Solutions confirms its participation in the Maeloc Spanish Championship in A Coruña

The Spanish J70 Championship will take place next 14, 15 and 16 May. There will be three days of racing in A Coruña waters where we will be able to see the best Spanish sailors, as well as several elite Portuguese sailors, who will also face the team that will participate in The Ocean Race Europe, the VivaMexico V065, and which will compete aboard the J70 Bosch Service Solutions of Club Marítimo de Canido.

The J70 Bosch Service Solutions Viva Mexico comes loaded with stars, with the A Coruña sailor Miguel Vasco, Spanish Finn Champion, and with crew members the Mexicans Juan Luis Medina and Juan Varela, and the Argentine Matias Chemas, all three champions in their countries, in categories such as J70, Snipe or Laser.

On the other hand, the largest and strongest J70 fleet at national level, that of Real Club Náutico de Vigo, will come to A Coruña with the intention of making it difficult for Santander’s Noticia to claim the title of favourite.

We will have Abril Verde and Abril Rojo skippered by the Pérez Canal brothers from Ourense, Luis Bugallo’s Marnatura 1, LaGuardia&Moreira with Gonzalo Araújo from Lugo, based in the city of Vigo, at the helm, Ramón Ojea’s Pazo de Cea, Alberto Figueira’s Valmy Atlántica with sailors from Náutico de Combarro and Portosín, as well as Marnatura and Sogacsa.

In addition, Catalonia will come with its two best boats, led by the legendary saga within Spanish Olympic sailing, the Doreste family. The Tropicfeel-Kahaway will be skippered by Luis, and the other J70 (Bodegas Can Marlés), competing for Náutico de Vilanova, has Jorge Martínez Doreste as skipper, with crew members from the sailing clubs of Cambrils (Tarragona) and Vilassar de Mar (Barcelona).

From the Canary Islands we will have the world champions Rayco Tabares, Ricardo Tabares and Alfredo González, who will share responsibility aboard the Solventis of Malalo Bermúdez de Castro.

The Valencian Community will be represented by Let it be and Spirit of Alginet, while the Balearic Islands will have their best option in the Nautia.net of Real Club Náutico de Palma. In addition, other highly competitive boats are the Sail Cascais with the legendary Portuguese sailor Vasco Serpa at the helm, the elite Snipe sailor Mafalda Pires de Lima from Porto, and Diogo Pinto among others.
